South Boston has always been a point of interest in Boston, it has drawn both the media and the film industry as well as housing developments and artists. Located below Fort Point Channel to the north, Dorchester Ave to the west, Reserved Channel to the east and Columbus Park to the south the neighborhood is a predominantly a working class Irish oriented place. South Boston should not be confused with south station Boston, another area which Locksmith Boston covers, which is located to the north of the neighborhood.
Some neighborhoods and towns have a distinct flavor about them, a mystical essence which both draws and invigorates the mind and spirit as well as sometimes scares and pushes you off, South Boston is exactly such a place.
Movie Focus Center
South Boston has been a major point of interest for the movie industry for more thantwo decades now. From the early 1980’s major film directors and actors have been drawn to the town either by way of story telling or by actuall footage on location.

Housing
South Boston has three major housing developments on its teritory. West Broadway and West Ninth Street make up the area that is called D Street. In addition Mary Ellen McCormack and Old Colony make up the three housing development projects which have been constructed throughout the 30’s and 40’s.
